The Individual Learning Style Test
The Individual Learning Style Test is formed in order to give detailed information about which circumstances and what kinds of methods of studying would contribute to individual performances of students taking into consideration their types of gaining better knowledge. The Individual Learning Style Test is a specific test conformable to Turkish culture, is improved by taking the theory of Dr. Rita Dunn as basis.
Preliminary Program
A registered student is accepted to the preliminary program according to the Academic Proficiency Examination results. The student joins to the studies concerned with the lessons that he or she is insufficient until the end of semester. These studies are planned by student advisors of the student. The purpose of this procedure is to overcome the insufficient points that the student has and make her or him start to the semester fully-equipped.
Early Warning Test
This is the application by which the class of the student registered to UĞUR Dersaneleri is set. The designation of the classes is done by taking into account multiple criteria such as the result of Early Warning Test, the type of the school of student, the success of student in his or her own school. The aim of the Early Warning Test is to form the teaching processes of each student with respect to their academic profiles.
Intelligent Measurement and Learning Support System AKORD is a web-based Intelligent Measurement and Learning Support System. AKORD separates the heterogeneous group into homogenous learning communities into which there are one or more than one students and which have similar learning difficulties as to the similar subjects, by evaluating the results of the exams and homeworks prepared to be practiced for intra-class teaching. Then it determines the knowledge level of these communities. By continuously evaluating within the system the results of the homeworks and the intra-class exams, it decides which concepts the students can learn in the next step. Accordingly, it prepares unity course plan, including a subject and question bank, for the class teacher. In the AKORD system, instead of the classic tests we apply Diagnostic Tests based on identification. Classical test models consider how many questions a student answered while the Diagnostic Tests consider which answers are correct and which are wrong. Diagnostic Test Model is the third and latest measurement-learning system that has ever been launched by the world education scientists. At the result of the Diagnostic Test we find out which question a student answered wrong and why he answered this question wrong. Then this student is informed only about the subject he does not know. AKORD Model determines what a student knows and does not know, besides "how much" he knows. Learning Windows An important step at the learning process is the integration and reinforcement process applied after the courses. The library atmosphere where extracurricular works are done is getting more effective when it is designed for the students, taking their studying preferences under the consideration. E-Learning (Ugur TV) Besides, Uğur Preparatory Courses implemented J. Carroll S. Bloom's Full Learning Model and Pyramid Model developed by the Ugur Project Development Commission, the first in Turkey. In homogeneous classes designed in these education models, knowledge is delivered according to student's level.
